F.A.Q.
Q: What is a simfile?
A: A simfile is like a Guitar Hero / Rock Band DLC song, except that it’s a song for StepMania, a DDR simulator for Windows, Mac, and Linux PC’s. (uh don’t laugh, I’ve had comments before from people who seriously had no clue what a simfile was and only came here because they googled up an mp3.)
Q: How do I download simfiles?
A: Most of my simfiles are hosted on Bemanistyle.com. To access the simfile downloads on that site, you will have to register a free account.
Q: You have lots of simfiles on Bemanistyle, Flash Flash Revolution, and Zenius-i-vanisher that aren’t listed on this blog. Why?
A: If one of my old simfiles is not listed on this blog, that means the simfile sucks because of bad steps and/or bad audio. In other words, I don’t recommend trying them at present unless you specifically like the song in question.
Q: Will you sim anime X’s OP and ED?
A: If I have time / like the song / don’t currently want to finish songs I’ve already started / have good quality audio and video / know the show, then probably yes. If one of those conditions fails, probably not (in the near future). [Whether I like the song is subject to change at any moment though: I used to not like T.M.Revolution's "resonance" but now I enjoy it, especially the pre-chorus.]
Q: What pad do you use?
A: I have a 3″ MyMyBox BlueShark metal pad. I don’t bar.
Q: What adapter do you use to connect your pad to your PC?
A: I use the Parallel adapter (requires a Parallel port). I have not had luck with any USB adapters, including the Super Dual Box and the RedOctane Universal Adapter. Both initially worked and later failed and became paperweights.
